1. Acceptance of Terms
The agreement governing use of Nolwazi.
By creating an account, accessing or using Nolwazi, you agree to these Terms of Use together with applicable policies referenced on the platform. If you do not agree, you should not use the service.
2. Who May Use Nolwazi
Learners, parents and educators.
Nolwazi supports learner, teacher, parent and other authorised account roles. Where a child uses Nolwazi, the parent, guardian or other competent person must provide any consent required by law and should supervise use where appropriate.
3. Nature of the Service
Digital educational support, not a guarantee of results.
Nolwazi provides educational assistance, curriculum resources, AI-supported tools, homework help, assessment functionality, progress information, SASL resources, video learning and related services. The platform supplements education and does not guarantee specific marks, examination results, admission outcomes or academic success.
4. Accounts and Credentials
Keeping access information secure.
You are responsible for keeping your password, verification links, educator codes where applicable, managed-child credentials and other access information secure. You may not impersonate another person or deliberately provide false account information.
5. Teacher & Parent's Corner
Educator tools and responsibilities.
Teacher & Parent's Corner enables authorised educator accounts to manage connected learners, classes, assignments, formal tests, marking, feedback and relevant learning progress.
An educator using these tools represents that they have a legitimate educational or parental relationship with the learner and will use learner information only for appropriate educational purposes.
6. Educator and Learner Connections
Connecting accounts responsibly.
Learners may connect to authorised educators using platform connection features such as an educator code. Users must not create deceptive connections, attempt to gain access to learners without authority, or misuse connection features to obtain information for non-educational purposes.
7. Classes and Assignments
Creating and completing schoolwork.
Educators may create, publish and review schoolwork for connected learners or classes. Learners are responsible for submitting their own work and following the educator's instructions, deadlines and academic-integrity requirements.
8. Timed Formal Tests
Assessment rules and timer integrity.
Formal tests may operate under a server-controlled timer. Once a timed test begins, the timer may continue running even if the learner closes the page, changes device or leaves the test. Users may not attempt to bypass timers, access protected answer keys, manipulate submissions or interfere with assessment controls.
9. Marking, Scores and Feedback
Automatic and educator-reviewed assessment.
Objective questions may be scored automatically. Written or other manually assessed responses may remain provisional until an educator reviews them. Educators are responsible for applying appropriate judgment when awarding manual marks and feedback.
10. Academic Integrity
Nolwazi should support learning, not dishonesty.
Users may not use Nolwazi to cheat, obtain unauthorised examination material, impersonate another learner, falsify educational records or deliberately evade assessment rules. AI assistance should be used in accordance with the learner's school and educator requirements.
11. AI-Assisted Content
AI can assist but may make mistakes.
Some Nolwazi tools use artificial intelligence to generate explanations, questions, assignments, tests or other educational material. AI output can contain mistakes, omissions or unsuitable content. Learners should verify important information, and educators should review AI-generated assessment material before relying on it.
12. Characters and Usage Limits
Daily limits for AI-powered activity.
Certain AI-powered activities consume characters ('chars') or other usage allowances according to the user's plan. Current allowances, resets and feature-specific usage rules are displayed within Nolwazi and may vary by subscription. Stored classroom content that does not require new AI processing may be treated differently from AI-powered requests.
13. Subscriptions, Wallet and Payments
Paid access and transaction rules.
Paid services may be purchased using available payment and wallet methods shown on the platform. Prices, plan allowances and access periods displayed at the time of purchase form part of the transaction. Users must not use stolen, fraudulent or unauthorised payment instruments.
14. Refunds and Cancellations
Your rights remain subject to South African law.
Refund and cancellation requests are governed by the Nolwazi Refund & Cancellation Policy and applicable South African consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Rights and responsibilities for uploaded content.
You retain any rights you lawfully hold in material you submit. By submitting content, you give Nolwazi the limited permission necessary to process, store, transmit and display it for providing the requested service. You must have the right or lawful educational basis to upload the material and must not knowingly upload unlawful or infringing content.
16. Privacy and Learner Information
Personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Use of personal information, including educator access to connected learner information, is governed by the Nolwazi Privacy Policy.

Activities that are not permitted.
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to another account or protected data
- Reverse engineering, malicious scraping or interfering with platform security
- Uploading malware or intentionally harmful content
- Harassing, threatening or exploiting learners or other users
- Using educator features without a legitimate educational purpose
- Manipulating assessment data, timers, scores or protected answer material
- Using Nolwazi in a manner that violates applicable law
18. Suspension, Restriction or Termination
Protecting users and the platform.
Nolwazi may restrict, suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of serious or repeated Terms violations, security threats, fraud, misuse, unlawful conduct or risks to other users. Immediate action may be taken where needed to protect learners, data, systems or the integrity of an assessment.
19. Service Availability and Changes
Features may evolve over time.
We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Nolwazi may improve, replace, suspend or discontinue features. Where a material change affects user rights or paid access, we will take reasonable steps to communicate it.
20. Educational and Professional Limitations
Use appropriate human judgment.
Nolwazi provides educational technology and is not a substitute for qualified professional advice in fields such as medicine, mental health, law or financial services. Users should seek an appropriate professional where a matter requires professional assessment.
21. Limitation of Liability
Subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nolwazi is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from reliance on educational content, temporary service interruption or AI-generated errors. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that may not lawfully be excluded or limited.
22. Changes to These Terms
Keeping the rules aligned with the platform.
Nolwazi may update these Terms when the service, business model, technology or legal requirements change. The current version will be published with an updated date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
23. Governing Law and Disputes
South African law applies.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be dealt with by a court or other forum having lawful jurisdiction, subject to any consumer or statutory rights that apply.
